Term 4 – Newsletter 2

Dear Parents

A busy week lies ahead, with Orientation Morning, Photos and Parent/Teacher meetings, so please make a note of the following dates:

ORIENTATION MORNING, tomorrow (Tuesday), 17th October, 08h30 – 10h30
The big day has almost arrived for our Grade 1 class of 2018 to visit our school and spent time with Mrs Terry. While the new Grade ones are enjoying their time with her, the current Grade 1 pupils will visit Ms Brink and Grade 2 pupils will visit Mrs Penfold.

Pupils who have returned their readmission forms for 2018 will receive stationery and textbook lists tomorrow. Should you still have a readmission form outstanding, please return it to school so that we can issue the lists to your child.

PHOTOS, Wednesday 18th October
Please ensure that your child is dressed in the correct school uniform for the photos on Wednesday.

These important meetings are taking place in the course of this week. Your child’s teacher should have arranged a mutually acceptable time for you to meet.

Exams for Grade 6 – 9 pupils will commence in one month’s time. Exam timetables will be handed out to pupils this week. Please encourage your children to create a personal study timetable and to stick to it for the next few weeks, starting today.

We have used the funds collected from the sale of Speech & Drama Evening tickets to purchase some equipment for our playground. This will make the playground a more stimulating and educational area than it has been up till now. Should any parents have outdoor benches/chairs or equipment that they’re no longer using, please consider donating these items to our playground.

If you’re interested in having a beautiful portrait painted, please contact Ilhaam. I’ve attached her brochure.

I would like to thank our busy Parent Committee for organising the very successful book sale at school last week. Hopefully this will be an annual event from now on.

Kind regards
