I trust that all had a happy Women’s Day and a good long weekend. Thanks to all who supported Slipper Day on Wednesday. Fund-raising efforts this term have brought our total up to R37 313.30.
A few reminders of up-coming dates:
SPRING HAT COMPETITION
We are looking forward to seeing our pupils’ creations on 31st August. Prizes will be awarded to the hats that best depict Spring.
The winners of the hampers will be announced on 3rd September. Please aim to fill up your raffle sheets and return them once full. There is still a bit of time to try to get as many people to participate as possible.
ASSESSMENT PRESENTATIONS, Grade 7 – 9
The assessments will take place from 10th – 19th September. Pupils will receive their research topics from their teachers and should start working to ensure that they present work of a high standard for this term.
SPEECH & DRAMA EVENING
Our Speech & Drama evening will be presented over two nights this year, so please indicate on your ticket order which evening you would like to attend: Wednesday 26th September/Thursday 27th September. Tickets cost R30 per person.
All pupils have been given a list of items needed for their costumes. Please ensure that these items are at school by 17th September.
Please send your MAKRO form back as soon as possible. If you already have a MAKRO card, please consider linking it our school by sending us the number on your card and we’ll do the rest.
Don’t forget to visit our new website and to keep on “liking” our Facebook page. We would appreciate it if you could forward the ad that we placed on Facebook for enrollments for the new year to all your Facebook contacts.
