Term 3 – Newsletter 9

Dear Parents

There are just two full weeks of teaching to go and then our Speech & Drama Evening will crown our glorious term!

TWILIGHT MARKET, 21st September, 18h00 – 20h00
Our Twilight Market will take place from 18h00 – 20h00 on 21st September. There will be ten stalls, with various offerings, ranging from pancakes, to natural beauty products, to fine coffee. There will also be a bead-making stall for children and the announcement of the winners of the raffle, so please come and support us.

We are looking to borrow battery operated fairy lights for the evening, so if any parents are able to help, please send your fairy lights to school as soon as possible. Mark them with your name so that we can get them back to you.

SPEECH & DRAMA EVENING, 26th & 27th September, 19h00

Our first dress rehearsal will take place on 17th September. Pupils must have their full costume at school on that day.
Tickets are still on sale at R30 each.
Commemoration mugs were very popular last year, so will be on sale again this year, at R60 per mug. Your child will bring an order form home in his/her homework book today. Please let us have your order by 18th September.
Just a reminder, too, to parents who have offered donations of tea, coffee, milk and sugar to help with the catering for the evening. These may be sent to school as soon as possible. Perishable items may be handed in on the evening you attend.

Thanks to those prompt parents who have already submitted their readmission forms. 12th October is the closing date for readmission forms.
