Term 3 – Newsletter 11

Dear Parents
I’m sure you missed receiving my usual Monday email this morning, albeit that it’s Tuesday. It has been such a busy, exciting day, that I have only just reached my office.

Thanks to all who contributed to making the Twilight Market such a wonderful success on Friday evening. Surely this will become an annual event to add to the tradition of our school.

Our final dress rehearsal for Speech & Drama was interrupted by rain, but we did the best we could.

School will close at 12h00 tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday. We’ll break up at 10h30 on Friday.

For the Speech & Drama evenings, tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday, pupils need to be back at school at 18h00.

Scattered showers are predicted for Thursday, so we may have to hold the Thursday performance over into the first Thursday of the new term. However, we’ll see what the day is like and make a decision before the pupils return home at 12h00 on Thursday.

A few months ago we were praying for rain and now we’re just praying for two clear evenings and then the rain may come!

It would be greatly appreciated if you could bring folding chairs to the performance that you attend for the Speech & Drama evening.

Many thanks to all who have donated catering items, but due to the inclement weather we have decided not to serve refreshments after the Speech and Drama evening. We would rather hold these for the Prize Giving evening, when, hopefully, the weather will be more pleasant and we’ll be able to enjoy outdoor refreshments.

Reports will be sent electronically on Friday.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday & Thursday.

Kind regards
