Once again this email comes to you from the windy and chilly south coast of Kwa-Zulu-Natal. We will be embarking on the long trek back to Cape Town tomorrow and will be spending a few days on the road. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting the new pupils who joined us this term.
I’m grateful that I have been able to entrust the school to our most capable team of teachers in my absence and thank each one of them for playing their part while I’ve been away.
Readmission forms were due in on Friday, but you may still hand in this week, or email to me. Please contact us should you require a form.
Many thanks to all who have handed in their supplies for the term. Please contact us for the roster and let us have your supplies by the end of the month.
These important meetings take place next week, so please book your date with your child’s teacher/s. This is the last formal opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, so please make use of it.
Our school photographer will be on campus on Tuesday 23rd October. Please ensure that your child is wearing the correct school uniform on that day and that his/her hair complies with school standards.
EXTRA MATHS FOR GRADES 6 – 9
Ms Styane has asked me to remind you that her extra classes will commence on Thursday. I wish to thank Ms Styane, on your behalf, for travelling the extra mile to ensure that your children are well prepared for their exams. Classes will cease when exams start.
SPEECH & DRAMA EVENING, Thursday, 25th October
Our long awaited second evening is drawing closer, and will be presented next Thursday, 25th October at 19h00. Pupils are to be at school at 18h00. All ticket holders are welcome to attend. If you do not have a ticket, but would like to attend, please send R30 per ticket in an envelope marked with your child’s name and “Speech & Drama” as soon as possible.
We are happy to let you know that we are participating in several recycling projects, and encourage all parents to support us by sending paper, plastic and cans to school for collection by various recycling projects.
Although it seems early in the term, exams are just over a month away, so all pupils in Grades 6 – 9 should be diligently doing homework and putting in a little extra time daily in order to prepare well for their exams. Grade 1 – 5 pupils need to keep working hard, as they are assessed continually through the term.
Our uniform supplier, Linda Engel, has asked me to let you know that uniform orders for the new year must to be in by 1st December, in good time before the factories close. She can be contacted on 021 939 0205 or 081 413 6107 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If orders are not received before 1st December, the next orders will only be able to go through on 15th January.
